Come join us for an Earth Day Celebration for the Robinson Forest dedication (the woods behind the sauna), and eat some DELICIOUS tacos by Nadia Chef Little Kitchen. Stop by for a walk on the trails and tacos or book a seat on the sauna, walk the trails and eat! The Town of Germantown successfully obtained a NYSDEC Community Forestry grant in late 2023 to obtain the 23 acres immediately north of the 1767 Parsonage. Theodore Robinson, the namesake of the forest, was a local man who served in the U.S.C.T. during the Civil War and lived adjacent to the forest. History buffs will want to stick around until Noon, when yours truly and Ethan Dickerman, President of Friends of Historic Germantown will give a history of Robinson and other African Americans in 19th century Germantown. This will be in the Hover Room at the Germantown Library!
