For the first installment of our Soup & Steam series, we’re serving SARAP with Phoebe Tran of Bé Bếp and Francis Yu. Sarap means delicious pleasure, and we’re bringing that spirit into the heat with an herbal brew inspired by the Vietnamese practice of xông hơi, where fragrant herbs are steamed to cleanse and revive. Sauna tickets will include the herbal steam, and soup will be sold separately to the public. Menu to be announced soon!

Join us for a BIPOC public Sauna on Sunday 9/14 12pm-2pm hosted by BIG TOWEL X EARTHEAVEN. We will gather in heat and enjoy snacks, herbal tea and connection. Rooted in building language and community for grief, this gathering is an extension of Afrovoid Altar: Somatic Legacy Workshop and will be facilitated by Mosie River x Anastasia Corinne. Using the sauna as a tool in grief/death/re-birth work sauna guests will be invited to respond to death-informed journal prompts and build a collective altar. Guests are encouraged to offer objects to charge or transform at the altar, or you can simply enjoy the company of each other. Sauna tickets will be $15 with a maximum capacity of 12. Queers at Rest is an ongoing literary sauna project, curated by writer joss lake, which brings together queer readers and writers in affirming, embodied, relaxed spaces.
